Time Flies

Time flies when you're having fun. Time flies when you're not having fun. Time flies PERIOD. When I went to download pictures for this post, I couldn't even remember where I ended on the last pictures. My mind has been filled to overflowing since then. I can't believe we are already 8 days into December. Wasn't it just January 8th the other day? Wow!
We have been busy bees with family Thanksgivings and catching up with friends. We were able to go to the Christmas Parade in town the Saturday after Thanksgiving. The small town we are from does BIG TIME Christmas lights. It used to be around 1 million or so...maybe more. It has gone down hill a little since we last lived here, but even still there are lots of lights. The Christmas Parade of course kicks off the lighting of the town. I should have saved my Culture Shock post until after the parade. We forgot how people think it is fun to enter their 4-wheelers in the town parade...no decorations or anything. They just ride their 4-wheeler to show it off. This year everyone got a real treat. Two guys entered the parade for the sole purpose of dancing. They had a 1980's beaten up car following them with the stereo blaring, and they danced. I wish I had a video for you to see. Absolutely Hilarious!
We even got to have a seafood Thanksgiving with the Amaro's. They were in town, and we met them at a restaurant to visit. Lots of fun! We were so glad to see them, and we left missing Murfreesboro even more than normal. I can't believe I didn't get any pictures, but I am sure if I would have broken out the camera I would have caught some flak from a certain someone. I will not mention her name. We have had the privilege of meeting friends on 2 different occasions since we have moved. What a blessing! The other day I was getting John Reagan and Evie ready to meet Greg for supper in Ruston. We were going to go out and eat and spend some time together just the 4 of us. When I was telling John Reagan what we were doing he said, "Is Andrew going to be there?" I think we have been out to eat a total of 4 times since we moved and 2 of those were to meet friends. So he thinks if we are going to eat we are meeting someone. It was so cute and so sweet and so sad all in one. He was used to eating out once or twice a week, not a month. Too funny! I just laughed and said not this time.
Aside from preparing for the holidays, that's about all the excitement in our lives right now. One thing is for sure, they know how to celebrate the holidays down here. Because we are always home for Christmas it doesn't feel like we have moved. I keep thinking we are going to pack up and head home when it's all over with. It will be nice to pack up and head to our own house when we finally get one.
Now for the usual pictures...
Evie just loves to pet Max, and he loves it too.
The nightly fussing and shoving over the DVD player. It is so funny when these 2 get started.
Isn't she COOL?

I was taking a picture of John Reagan to send to a friend while I was babysitting our nephews. The boys decided they wanted in the picture with John Reagan.
We stayed with my sister and brother-in-law for the few days I babysat. She got to fix Evie's hair for the first time, and she was like a little kid at Christmas. Evie's first ponytail from Auntie Marla.
In Fifi's Bathtub, AGAIN!
Evie is a nosey girl. She wants to know what is going on all the time.
She is totally posing! What a ham!
We hope all is well with you. Drop us an email sometime. We love to catch-up whether through face to face visits or email.
Love you!
